Climate forecasts for the Geneva area raise crucial questions, to which its population expects concrete answers. This exceptional living environment must evolve in harmony with nature and the principles of equity, without forgetting its symbolic role for peace and global cooperation.
Drawing on its rich heritage of lessons, the Braillard Architectes Foundation explores, with the support of the Canton of Geneva, the dynamics of these innovations as part of its Transition Workshop. Since 2020, this pioneering program has offered architects, planning professionals, researchers and citizens the tools and devices to contribute to the ecological transition.
The best moments and results of the Transition Workshop are presented to the general public each fall during the Geneva Seminar. Part of the City of Geneva Climate Week, the Seminar addresses water, soil, material and energy resources as project bases for decarbonization and resilience with the city of Versoix as a representative case of a territory that risks experiencing an extreme global warming scenario.
The Seminar will be crowned by a live discussion with COP29 in Baku and an international panel on international climate diplomacy.
