International Consultation Luxembourg in Transition
From 2020 to 2022, the director of the Fondation Braillard Architectes was the scientific director of the International Consultation Luxembourg in Transition.
Building on the earlier experience of Greater Geneva, the selection process, the follow-up and the final results:
- pushed further the limits of understanding of the environmental challenge facing Luxembourg’s cross-border territory;
- led to convincing results at both the large scale and the neighbourhood scale.
The foundation also helped disseminate the lessons learned from this consultation. At its 4th Geneva Seminar in 2021, devoted to “The ecological transition of the urban world”, a significant part of the discussions focused on the methodological advances of “Luxembourg in Transition”.
This event made it possible to present the results and the innovative approaches developed within the consultation to a wider audience, including stakeholders from the Geneva region. It fostered the sharing of knowledge and experience between the two foresight processes, Greater Geneva and Luxembourg, both facing transition challenges in cross-border territories.
