The Fondation Braillard Architectes is joining forces with the NEB Lab “Sustainable and Inclusive Neighbourhoods”, led by BABLE Smart Cities, CPEA, DGNB, Drees & Sommer and ICLEI, to host an event in Brussels as part of the NEB Festival on 11 June 2026.
This NEB Lab x Braillard Compass event in Brussels aims to bring together public decision-makers, practitioners, researchers and civic actors to discuss the ecological transition of cities and territories in a rapidly changing context.
During this session, several concrete projects – The Eco-Century Project®, Commit2Green, Blueprint and CitySync – will be discussed openly, to show how approaches such as circular construction, adaptive reuse and biodiversity-based solutions can be integrated at neighbourhood scale.
The aim is not only to demonstrate that sustainability can be both aesthetic and functional, but also to address the challenges, contradictions and difficulties that may arise in implementation.
Rather than a conventional panel, we are proposing a focused, strategic working session: a moderated discussion designed to test hypotheses, refine priorities and identify concrete courses of action for the transition of neighbourhoods across Europe.
We look forward to exchanging with you!
