The Braillard Architectes Foundation is launching a call for contributions for the 2026 Geneva Seminar, dedicated to the topic ‘Ecological densities – Where Next for Geneva’s Built Environment?’, in partnership with:

  • Urban Planning Office of the Canton of Geneva
  • FAI (Federation of Architects and Engineers)
  • CGI (Geneva Real Estate Chamber)
  • FAS (Federation of Swiss Architects)
  • FSU (Swiss Federation of Urban Planners)
  • ACPG (Geneva-based builders)
  • Patrimoine Suisse (Swiss Heritage Geneva)
  • FSAP ( Swiss Federation of Landscape Architects)

This international scientific conference, to be held on 9 and 10 December 2026, aims to examine urban densification in the context of the ecological transition: how can we accommodate new populations, activities and services whilst protecting soil, water, biodiversity, open spaces and living conditions?

This call for contributions is open to researchers, practitioners and professionals in the fields of planning, architecture, urbanism, landscape architecture, the humanities and social sciences, and environmental sciences, as well as to civil society representatives. Selected proposals will be presented at the conference and will be published in a bilingual (French-English) academic publication.
