Charles Braillard

Architecte, Homme politique – (1921-1980)

His architectural practice spanned from 1940 to 1980. Involved in the political life of Geneva, he was for thirty years deputy then socialist president of the Grand Council of Geneva in 1968. Among his achievements are namely: the Rohner Bank (1976-78), the Trade Development Bank (1971-73), industrial buildings for Union Carbide (1961-64 and 1970-76) and Amoco Chemicals (1969), housing buildings and complexes “Terra e casa” in Versoix (1960-63), that of rue des Vollandes 60-62 (1962-64), that of rue des Charmilles 12-14 (1969), and that of rues de Carouge – Jean-Violette, (1974-77).
