Since 2018, the international conference series Design the Transition explores the ecological future of inhabited territories. Urban planners, architects, landscapers, sociologists, anthropologists, engineers, professionals, administrators and researchers have come together to develop innovative and effective, shared and collaborative tools.

Due to the 2020 lockdown, the aim of the March session called Design the Transition, now! was to bring to light the multiple links between the coronavirus pandemic and the Earth’s environmental emergency. The virtual conference gave more than 500 people the opportunity to follow the committed discussion between Dominique Bourg, Fabio Merlini, Paola Viganò and Edwin Zaccaï. The video debates in April and May provided an opportunity to explore themes such as the future of mobility or the post-Covid-19 economy.

Dozens of comments and questions were asked during these sessions, which are displayed publicly on this Forum page, to fuel the construction of a new thought-oriented community.
