Discover the Geneva site that will host the hands-on studio of the next edition of the Transition Workshop:
spanning the two municipalities of Plan-les-Ouates and Lancy, the new Chapelle–Les Sciers neighbourhood is an ensemble of modern buildings that meet ecological standards and are home to many families. Despite the advantages of tranquillity, pedestrianisation and the many activities initiated by residents, where are its meeting places? What is its identity? What links exist between the different blocks?
How should we intervene in what already exists? Design Studio 2026 invites participants to reflect on the challenges of new neighbourhoods that combine density and ecology, and to imagine and design their public spaces by taking into account the specific characteristics of the site, its climate, its biodiversity and its residents.
