Caring Metropolis, synthesizes and contrasts two responses to environmental, health and social crises. Resisting an overconsumption of natural resources, the two approaches represent new paradigms for sustainable territorial strategies. The first presentation addresses the emergence of local communities that deal with regeneration of the territory and the care of vulnerable people in times of crises. The second presentation proposes micro-economic livelihood strategies as a foundation for environmental and community healing.
