1)
REUSE OF BUILDING COMPONENTS
Designing with existing urban resources

Faced with the growing accumulation of demolition waste and the depletion of natural resources, the construction sector must question the linear, globalised management of resources. Commonly practised before the Industrial Revolution, the reuse of building components is a way to re-anchor the architectural project in its territory and to support a sustainable “circular” economy. This work presents the challenges of the reuse project and initiates a reflection on a development strategy that rereads the city as a source of components for the projects of tomorrow.

2)
MAPPING THE TRANSITION
Cartographic explorations of the various ways of inhabiting the territory of the Alpine-Lake Geneva metropolis

In current practice, there is a conflict between the representation of the territory and its project. However, once rethought, the potential of cartographic description could make it possible to conceive new ways of approaching spatial planning and of inhabiting the territory. Moreover, it would ensure a better reading, and therefore a better understanding, of the ecological transition. To achieve this, a change in the techniques used to represent the territorial project is essential.
