TOWARDS A NEW CONCEPTION OF THE TERRITORIAL PROJECT
A critical view of the planning approach through a reading of the territory’s ecosystemic and societal structures
At a time of collapsing biodiversity and a social crisis that is becoming increasingly widespread, the question of a territory’s resilience and frugality becomes a fundamental issue. In this sense, water, as a structuring element and a basis for project-led territorial thinking, makes it possible to move beyond the friction between political will and action on the ground towards a reconciliation between different forms of life. The first Transition Seeds session brings together two scales: that of the Lyon metropolitan area and its ecosystemic structure on the one hand, and the local scale of the Venoge under the effect of “biopowers” on the other. This twofold presentation examines the dimensions of a new radicalism in building a resilient territory and its governance.
