Braillard Transition Workshop

A certified, interdisciplinary training programme on ecological transition through architectural, urban and landscape design. It is intended for building, city and territory professionals, as well as PhD candidates.

The Transition Workshop has been delivered in Geneva by the Fondation Braillard Architectes since 2020, in partnership with the Swiss Confederation, the Canton of Geneva, the City of Geneva, the University of Geneva and the Services Industriels Genevois (SIG).

Its various modules provide knowledge about the challenges and parameters of the environmental emergency and develop practical methods to address it, shaping decarbonised and resilient living spaces.

The originality and added value of the Transition Workshop lie in its particular method of integrating theory with practice. It is based on the many years of experience of its team in the scientific supervision of international consultations for the ecological transition of cities and territories.

Theory Masterclass (80h):

  • The transition challenge:

  • The human factor:
    Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 April 2027
  • The construction factor:
    Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 May 2027


Design Studio (2 weeks):

  • Monday 5 to Friday 16 July 2027
